Regina is well-known for extraordinary long-term care. Now, you can take advantage of our short-term rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery, such as joint replacement or back surgery; and rehabilitation following a stroke, pneumonia, heart surgery, a spinal cord injury, or an accident.
Because short-term rehabilitation patients do not stay long, there isn't a long waiting list here at Regina. Nearly everyone who needs the short-term program can be accomodated.
The goal of occupational therapy is to increase independance in any activity of daily life, such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, a favorite hobby, or working at a job. Speech therapy not only addresses communication, but also swallowing and cognitive abilities.
Comprehansive individulaized programs are available to meet your specific goals and needs. Our team includes your physician and surgeon and representatives from Regina's nursing, activities and dietary departments. Our goal for you is a speedy return home to normal everyday activites.
